Island Youth Reality: Madeira

This badge recognises your ability to identify and analyse the specific socio-economic and geographical factors that shape the lives of young people in Madeira. It focuses on your capacity to move beyond surface-level observations and understand the practical hurdles and cultural drivers within a local youth work setting.

To receive this badge, you must submit an individual reflection based on the briefing and the visit to the youth centre. Your submission must include:
  • Socio-Economic Summary: A description of two specific economic or geographical factors mentioned in the briefing and how they affect a young person’s daily life in Madeira.
  • Contextual Application: An explanation of how your understanding of these specific local realities will change the way you approach or talk to participants from similar regional backgrounds in your future training.
